Programme cross -country Apuane 2012
Crossing the Alps will be carried out along some sections of the route indicated by Angelo Nerli in his guide in collaboration with CAI Ente Parco, in part following the route indicated by equally spectacular Mario Verin, known mountaineer Florentine of the 70ties and exemplary knowledge of the Apuan Alps, now refined spaces and mountain photographer of nature, and Crescimbeni mountaineer and journalist in the field. The Apuan Alps for his orogeny has no single easy to get to the ridge line, as in the nearby Apennines, and sometimes to follow the thread of its ridges must overcome such difficulties in climbing. To offer more then a tourist route, and above all safer for participants I tried wherever possible to avoid prejudice to the ridges halfway, and taking advantage of the many alternative routes that also excite the walker who is about to follow.
The crossing is found to offer strong emotions from a naturalistic point of view that history, an inherent nature, but still wild and necessarily linked in the past and today, the activities of man.
