GENERAL INFORMATION

The Great Crossing Elba (GTE) is a walk of about 70 km along the ridge of the island from E to O, with some variations. Tuscany Trekking in the past has brought the entire route (in 6-day walk) traveling with a formula, but now some of the structures which permitted night at high altitude have been closed. For this reason, this program has been designed with all overnight stays in the same hotel (located above one of the most beautiful beaches of the capital Portoferraio, also in view of the festivities of New Year’s Eve) and the availability of an employee who will accompany us with a minibus or arrange for the transfer of the cars left the tracks early day. Program:

One of the less tourist paths of the Elbe as a balcony overlooking the spectacular bay of Portoferraio. The route runs along the ancient mule track that goes to the sanctuary of Madonna del Monte, also known for the short stay that Napoleon spent with his friend Maria Walewska. Penalties for withdrawal

The participant who withdraws from the contract prior to departure will be charged penalties listed below:

30 to 21 days before departure – 25% of the total;

from 20 to 11 days before departure – 50% of the total;

10 to 3 days before departure – 75% of the total;

Rules of Travel

The program may be subject to delays, changes and modifications due to adverse weather conditions, events and local situations, however, not attributable to the organization.
